English club Liverpool is considering signing dangerous Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, despite the contract renewal of Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah.
A report by the British newspaper The Sun stated that Liverpool scouts who attended several Brentford matches were impressed by the Cameroonian striker's speed and strength.
Mbeumo was a ready-made replacement for Salah, who signed a two-year contract extension with the Reds.
According to The Sun, Brentford will demand around £50 million for Mbeumo, who has one year remaining on his contract, plus an option for a further season.
The newspaper indicated that Liverpool is seeking to renew its attacking lineup for next season, and that Mbeumo possesses all the qualities they desire to achieve this goal.
