According to a report published by the British newspaper The Mirror, Manchester City are planning to intensify their interest in Porto's Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

The English club's technical management believes that Costa would be the ideal replacement for Ederson between the sticks for the Citizens.

Costa's release clause with Porto is £63 million, but City's management believes they can close the deal for a lower price.

The British newspaper indicated that City's management has a strong relationship with the goalkeeper's agent, Jorge Mendes, and believes that an offer of £50 million would be.

Costa is 25 years old, and his contract with Porto expires in June 2027.
