Boxing Week: Open Training Kicks Off

Open training activities as part of Boxing Week in Riyadh kicked off at the Kingdom Arena on Wednesday. Young British boxer Moses Itauma and veteran Dillian Whyte appeared in the ring, preparing for the highly anticipated heavyweight title fight next Saturday at the ANB Arena, as part of the World Esports Cup.
The training sessions were well attended by fans and media, giving attendees the opportunity to witness the boxers' preparations up close before the big showdown.
Itauma, who has an undefeated record in 20 professional fights (10 of which were by knockout), enters this fight to continue his ascending career, while Whyte, who has 31 wins (21 of which were by knockout) against 3 losses, seeks to regain his global standing after returning from a hand injury. The training sessions were held in an atmosphere filled with excitement, preparing for the next stages of Boxing Week leading up to Fight Night, which will also include strong international bouts, most notably the Nick Paul vs. Sam Goodman lightweight bout, and the WBA featherweight champion Ray Ford vs. Abraham Nova, in addition to exciting heavyweight bouts and various technical fights for fans of the game. Boxing Week is part of the eSports World Cup series, taking place in Riyadh until August 24. With the participation of more than 2,000 players and 200 clubs, the event boasts a prize pool of $70 million, in an exceptional atmosphere that combines digital entertainment with live combat.
