Paris Saint-Germain closes the Mbappé case and agrees to pay.

Paris Saint-Germain has decided not to appeal a ruling by a French labor court ordering it to pay up to €61 million to former striker Kylian Mbappé, representing unpaid wages, salaries, and bonuses.

The club explained that it chose to close this long-running case, even though the ruling required immediate payment, regardless of whether an appeal was filed.

In a statement, the club said: “Out of a sense of responsibility and a desire to bring a definitive end to proceedings that have dragged on for far too long, the club has decided not to prolong this dispute.”

PSG had been given a month to file an appeal, but that deadline has now passed.

In a press statement on Friday, the club added: “Paris Saint-Germain is now looking firmly to the future, with complete focus on its sporting project and collective success.” The labor court stated that the final amount, ranging between 60 and 61 million euros, includes 55 million euros in unpaid wages and approximately six million euros in vacation pay.

After seven seasons with the club, Mbappé moved to Real Madrid, where he earns an annual salary estimated at around 30 million euros.

Mbappé scored 256 goals in 308 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, but the club won the Champions League title for the first time in its history last season after his departure.
