Guardiola: I'm not concerned about the points gap with Arsenal

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has insisted he is not concerned about the points difference in the Premier League title race.

With a game in hand and a clash against rivals Arsenal in April, City could be crowned champions again if they win all their remaining matches, after Arsenal dropped more points in a midweek draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The gap has been reduced to five points, but when asked if his team had a better chance than they did two months ago, Guardiola insisted he was only focused on Saturday's game against Newcastle United.

"I don't know what will happen in the remaining 12 games," Guardiola said. "I don't talk about it for even a second with the players. Yesterday and today we're only talking about the Newcastle game." He added in comments reported by the British news agency PA Media: “I haven’t talked about the league table, or our position, and it doesn’t concern me at all. You can ask me this question two or three rounds before the end and I will answer you. There are 12 games left, which is a lot of games. Many things will happen. This is the only certain fact.”
