Braga and Brugge seek Al-Dawsari from Al-Hilal
Exclusive sources revealed to Al-Riyadiyah that Al-Hilal Club has received an official offer from Belgian club Cercle Brugge, which includes a request for the services of international Nasser Al-Dawsari, the first-team midfielder.
According to the same sources, the Belgian club's offer comes at a time when the Saudi international is also receiving interest from Portuguese club Braga following his impressive performance with the Blues at the Club World Cup. However, the sources indicated that the Blues' management is likely to reject the offers submitted for the player, given the team's need for his services and Italian coach Simone Inzaghi's reliance on him in the starting lineup this season.
Al-Dawsari's contract with Al-Hilal extends until the summer of 2027, having signed a new four-year contract with the capital club two years ago.
Cercle Brugge, founded in 1899, plays in the Saudi Professional League and has previously won the title three times, most recently in 2011. They currently sit in seventh place after six rounds of the league. Braga, on the other hand, has been competing in the Portuguese top flight for 37 years, winning the league cup three times in 2013, 2020, and 2024, as well as the Portuguese Cup three times. They currently sit in sixth place in the league this season and have had several stars in their ranks, most notably Brazilian Wenderson Galeño, who currently plays for Al-Ahli Saudi FC.
