Real Madrid striker strengthens Alavés squad
Deportivo Alavés signed Dominican striker Mariano Díaz on Thursday during the current summer transfer window.
The club announced on its official website that the player officially joined the first football team after the end of the pre-season period, with a contract until 2027.
Díaz, born in Barcelona in 1993, began his football career in Real Madrid's youth teams and then made his debut for the first team starting in the 2016-2017 season, scoring five goals in 14 matches.
The player spent two seasons in Lyon before returning to Real Madrid, where he won three league titles, two Champions League titles, two Copa del Rey titles, two Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, and two Spanish Super Cups. He then signed with Sevilla for the 2022-2023 season, playing 13 matches for the club. Alaves will begin their La Liga campaign against Levante on August 16.
