Liverpool Close to Signing Kirkes for £50 Million

Liverpool have agreed to sign Hungarian left-back Milos Kirkes from Bournemouth for £50 million ($54 million), according to press reports.
Kirkes, 21, is expected to travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical to complete his transfer to the Premier League champions.
Kirkes caught the eye last season after his impressive performances for Bournemouth, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 38 Premier League appearances.
Liverpool's sporting director, Robert Hughes, brought Kirkes (capped 23 times) to Bournemouth from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar during his tenure.
Kirkes began his career with Győr in Hungary before moving to Milan, where he failed to establish himself with the Italian team. He then joined AZ in 2022 and then Bournemouth a year later. Kirkis' arrival at Liverpool raises questions about the future of Scottish international Andy Robertson, who has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. Kirkis will be the latest player to join Liverpool, following Dutch right-back Jeremy Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, who will replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who left for Real Madrid, and German international playmaker Florian Wirtz, also from Leverkusen, for a British record fee of approximately £116 million.
