First time... Sinner reaches the Roland Garros final

Sinner reaches the Roland Garros final for the first time

Italian world number one Jannik Sinner defeated Serbian Novak Djokovic 6-3, 7-5, 7-6(3) on Friday in a match that was a clash of generations. He advanced to his first French Open final at Roland Garros, where he will face defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.
In a match that lasted 3 hours and 16 minutes, 38-year-old Djokovic looked as if he were his opponent's age for a time on Court Philippe Chatrier, using his powerful forehand to send the Serb chasing the ball left, right, and center.
Djokovic, the former world number one and seeking his 25th Grand Slam title, displayed remarkable brilliance and almost made a comeback, but he squandered three crucial points in the third set and wasted his way out of the tournament.
The 23-year-old Italian, who has finally returned from a doping suspension, will face a tougher test in Sunday's final against Alcaraz, who advanced earlier in the day when his semi-final opponent, Lorenzo Musetti, withdrew due to an injury early in the fourth set.
