Al-Watan Sport reviews the Golden Boot race standings, as Egyptian star Mohamed Salah's chances of winning the 2025 European Golden Boot have diminished after the Liverpool striker failed to score during his team's match against Brighton in the 37th round of the English Premier League.
The match, held at the Amex Stadium and ending in a 3-2 victory for Brighton, saw Salah fail to score for the third consecutive match, leaving his tally at 28 goals and 56 points, remaining in third place in the competition for the continental award.

Swedish Sporting Lisbon striker Victor Gjokeres leads the Golden Boot rankings with 39 goals and 58.5 points, having finished his season in the Portuguese league.
He is followed by French striker Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain's striker, with 29 goals and 58 points, after scoring a recent goal that boosted his chances of winning.
This leaves Mohamed Salah and Mbappé with one chance each in the final round of the season to increase their scoring tallies, in an attempt to seize the lead from Gyokai Senegal, who ended their season early.
It's worth noting that the points-scoring mechanism awards players in the top five leagues (England, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy) two points for each goal, while players in other leagues receive 1.5 points for each goal.
