Apple Launches Indie Games Week, Highlighting 7 New Titles
Apple is celebrating "Indie Games Week" on the App Store by showcasing seven new games—either recently released or launching soon—to honor independent developers and creative innovation in the gaming world.
Seven Indie Games Highlighted by the App Store This Week
According to 9to5Mac, Apple has announced the start of Indie Games Week, dedicating space on the App Store throughout the week to new and highly anticipated iPhone games.
The list of seven games selected by the company includes:
Sifu: A critically acclaimed third-person combat game centered on a young kung fu student embarking on a relentless path of revenge.
Vampire Crawlers: A spin-off of the popular *Vampire Survivors* that replaces bullet-dodging mechanics with strategic deck-building.
No Man’s Sky: Arriving on iPhone and iPad for the first time on October 28, featuring all major content expansions released to date.
Little Kitty, Big City: Allows players to guide a curious cat as they explore a vast, open-world city.
9 Kings: A kingdom-building strategy game where players form armies using playing cards to defeat rival royals.
Dome Keeper: An alien-world mining simulation game that challenges players to dig deep and fend off enemies. *Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall* confronts players with difficult moral choices as they attempt to save a crumbling empire.
Apple Celebrates the Creativity of Indie Game Developers
Carson Oliver, Apple’s Head of App Store, stated that independent games continue to push the boundaries of creativity, delivering unique gaming experiences to Apple users.
He added that the company wanted to take the time to celebrate these games and the teams that take creative risks to drive the gaming industry forward. He noted that the App Store provides a global platform for bold ideas—whether from a solo developer or a growing studio—enabling ambitious visions to transform into global successes.
Oliver also expressed the company’s excitement regarding the games launching on the store this week, praising their distinctive artistry, innovative designs, and compelling stories.
