Enrique: My Team Overcomes Difficulties
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique expressed his optimism ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich, following a 3-0 victory over Angers on Saturday in the 31st round of Ligue 1.
The Parisian team extended their lead at the top of the table to six points over second-placed Lens, who were held to a 3-3 draw by Brest on Friday.
Speaking to the Ligue 1 website after the match, Enrique said: "We deserved this win despite the difficulties we faced, such as the timing of the match. We played with complete focus, we were fully present, and I'm very happy with the team's performance."
He added: "We are in top form, playing exceptionally well with great spirit. We are experiencing a perfect moment and are eagerly anticipating the final stages of our journey in the league and the Champions League." He pointed out that "it's not the right time to give Bayern Munich any information about our team, but all the players are ready."
Enrique concluded his remarks by saying, "We want to put on a strong performance against one of the best clubs in Europe, but we are the champions of this competition, and we want to start the match with full force."
