Williams Extends Vowles' Contract
English Williams Formula 1 Team Principal James Vowles has signed a new contract with his current team for an undisclosed length, according to the team's official account on Thursday.
"We are united in our commitment to building our own legacy and winning world championships," Vowles said, according to a team statement. "Over the past two years, we have focused on laying a solid foundation for the team, and we now have a platform from which to build on for glory in the years to come."
Vowles celebrates his 46th birthday on Friday and joins Williams in 2023 after more than two decades with Mercedes.
During his time with Mercedes, Vowles was a key member of nine constructors' championships and is determined to help Williams, fifth in the constructors' standings this season, regain its glory days.
