Paris Saint-Germain weathered an early storm from Arsenal before goals from Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi secured a 2-1 victory for the French side on Wednesday, sending them into the Champions League final.

The French champions defeated Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals and are now one step away from winning the European title for the first time, a feat they will now compete with Inter Milan in the final in Munich on May 31.
After losing the first leg 1-0 last week, Arsenal dominated the opening minutes of today's match at the Parc des Princes, with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma making several excellent saves.

Arsenal paid the price for failing to capitalize on their chances when Ruiz unleashed a stunning left-foot shot past David Raya in the 27th minute to double PSG's aggregate lead. Raya saved a penalty kick taken by Vitinha in the 69th minute, but shortly after, Hakimi added the second goal with a superb shot that left Raya no chance.

Bukayo Saka scored for Arsenal in the 76th minute, but then squandered a chance with a powerful shot that went over the bar, preventing the visitors from reaching their first final in the competition since 2006.
