Club World Cup: Exceptional Transfer Period Opens
FIFA will open an exceptional transfer window from June 1 to 10 to allow the 32 teams participating in the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, to sign new players.
FIFA said in a statement on Wednesday: "The national associations representing a team at the FIFA Club World Cup will have the right to open an exceptional transfer window from June 1 to 10 to allow their clubs to register their new players and field them in the competition."
It added: "The deadline for submitting the final list has been set for June 10, 2025, allowing each participating club to bring the players they signed to the United States during this period."
Another transfer window is scheduled to open from June 27 to July 3.
FIFA explained that the goal is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find a suitable solution to enable them to participate.
