The Saudi Professional League announced an unprecedented technological step in the history of Saudi football
signing a strategic partnership with Globant, a global company specializing in innovative technology solutions, to implement an integrated competition management system using artificial intelligence and data analysis technologies.
Sportian, the global company's sports division, will implement this ambitious project, which will transform the management of the Roshen League over the coming seasons.
This advanced technological partnership aims to accelerate previously manual tasks while simultaneously detecting and correcting human errors. This will save hundreds of administrative hours and allow the team to focus on innovation and creative interaction.
The new platform will include seamless digital player registration, automated registration of new signings, and real-time matchday management, including the submission of official lineups, referee appointments, kit selection, and compliance processes.
Omar Magharbel, CEO of the Saudi Professional League, said: “We aim to support the rapid growth of our competition through technological innovations that can enhance the sports landscape and help clubs perform at their best. The platform provided by Globant Sportian will provide a tremendous boost to our efficiency, allowing our teams to focus on what they do best: playing and enjoying football.”
Mamdouh Aldubayan, CEO of Globant MENA, emphasized that this partnership aligns with Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s ambitions in the global sports arena.
This step builds on Globant Sportian’s success in providing comprehensive digital solutions to major international leagues such as La Liga, Serie A, and the Belgian Pro League, positioning the Saudi League among the most technologically advanced leagues in the world.
