The organizing committee has announced the opening of registration for the first edition of the Samla International Race, one of the toughest endurance races in Qatar, scheduled for January 24, 2026.
The race, held in partnership with Visit Qatar, brings together elite international athletes in a challenge combining swimming (3 km), running (49 km), mountain biking (44 km), and kayaking (4 km).
The race is more than just a competition; it represents a test of strength and endurance across Qatar's diverse terrain. Prize money is $300,000, shared among the top ten finishers, with grand prizes awarded to the top three finishers in the men's and women's categories.
Registration is open to all nationalities over the age of 18 through the official website, with strong support from Visit Qatar and its sponsors. As part of Qatar's sports strategy, the race reflects its ability to host global events, alongside major championships such as the Asian Cup and Formula 1.
